February 2018

A touch of sunshine was brought to our chilly February meeting (the heating in the Red House was out of order) with a very interesting talk on ‘The Inca Trail’ by Nigel Davies. Members agreed it was a tonic after the cold, grey February night outside.

Members also discussed which local charity to support with the proceeds of our annual coffee morning taking place on Saturday 28th April 2018 from 10am to 12noon.
It was decided to support the Albrighton First Responders who are campaigning to raise funds for a much needed 4×4 vehicle which will make reaching the more rural areas of their patch much easier.

Artist Geoff Roswell will be giving a demonstration and talk on art at the March meeting, and he will be giving his completed painting to Albric. We may well raffle it at the coffee morning so come along and support us and The Albrighton First Responders. There will be stalls of homemade cakes and pastries, tombola and another stall is in the planning. Just £1 for coffee and biscuits, Saturday 28th April 2018, put it in your diary.
