Unfortunately, our April workshop and demonstration from Avon Cosmetics did not take place due to illness and we were not able to engage another Avon representative.   Malcolm Brown was brought in as a substitute. He demonstrated how to make a basic hand cream/lip balm with Beeswax and Sunflower oil. However, it wasn’t as good as our original idea, but in true WI fashion we carried on regardless and very much enjoyed our cakes afterwards.

In May our speaker will be Claire Tatler who is The Head Gardener at Wollerton Old Hall, she is skilled in all areas of horticulture including herbaceous borders, productive gardens, wildflower meadow creation and maintenance, lawn and hedge management.  This promises to be an interesting evening and we look forward to welcoming visitors along, admission will be £4.00 including refreshments.
