We were very pleased to welcome Victoria Graham, retired Royal Navy Nurse to our May meeting. She was an inspirational speaker and gave us an insight into her time serving on the frontline in Afghanistan. She is now a Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing at Wrexham University, but remains passionate about her time in service. Although the content was serious, she managed to bring humour to her presentation and went to great lengths to tell us about ‘The Biscuit Club’. Members thoroughly enjoyed the evening, which ended with lots of questions and much laughter.

On Friday 26th May we are proud to be planting a tree in the village to mark The Coronation of King Charles III. Parish Councillors have been invited and we are honoured that Jenny Wynn, Vice Lord Lieutenant of Shropshire will be ‘doing the honours’

At our June meeting we will be hearing from Alison Wakeman about honeybees, her talk promises to be informative and interesting, and includes information about building a beehive.
