To get our thinking caps on we had a presentation from Dr Nigel Baker on ‘Archaeology at Attingham Park’ when he reported that a summer house and servants quarters had been discovered over the last five years in ground that had been considered for an entrance into the walled garden.  He was very interesting to listen to and we all got the impression that he loved to dig not just with his hands but with mechanical machinery.  Members will also be meeting for lunch at the end of the month.
