‘Hearing Dogs for the Deaf’ was our talk for October, and we were joined by inspirational speaker Ruth Allen.   She was accompanied by her black labrador, Iker, and they certainly kept us all entertained.  It was interesting to learn just how much time and money is spent training the dogs and how intelligent they are!!!!!!

We have lots to look forward to in the coming months, starting with our Autumn Lunch Club trying out the new menu at David Austin Roses.  And, in November a visit to Denby Pottery has been arranged, and then of course December is around the corner with celebrations planned.   Please come along and join in our next meeting on Tuesday 8th November in The Red House starting at 7.30 when our speaker will be Local Magistrate Dean Harris.
