In January we welcomed Jason Davenhill – ex RAF Pilot who flew The Chinook in Kosovo, Sierra Leone and Afghanistan. He held members’ and visitors attention for an hour telling us of his adventures both during his time as a pilot and some of the antics he and his colleagues got up to when on tour, including amateur dramatics and playing a brass instrument. At the end of the meeting votes were collected for the National WI’s Resolution for 2024, Albric chose unanimously for: Impact of Poor Housing Conditions.
Our meeting on 13th February will be our AGM, which will be a coloured themed evening with in-house games, and a ‘Bring and Buy’ helping to boost our funds. Visitors are welcome. We meet in The Church Centre starting at 7.30pm Later in the month there will be a Luncheon Club Outing when we will be going to Rosella Italian which has become very popular since opening in the village.
