March 2022

With spring and Easter just around the corner, Sarah Cox from ‘A Bit of a Do’ and her daughter came to our March meeting and demonstrated how to make a spring wreath. This could be hung on a door or used to make a lovely table centre. Sarah made it look so easy that we were all inspired and felt we could have a go.  The repartee between mother and daughter was funny and entertaining so we not only learned something we had a laugh as well! Both activities are very good for ones wellbeing.

Another thing to help banish the winter blues is a trip to the theatre. And we are off to the Grand on 24 March to see ‘Calendar Girls the Musical’ by the West Bromwich Operatic Society. Calendar Girls is always associated with the WI and ‘That Calendar’ which is still raising money for leukaemia research £5 million and counting.

Then to see us properly reinvigorated Aaja Nachie from Lets Dance will be talking about and demonstrating Bollywood style dancing at the April meeting on the 12th at the Red House which will be great fun. Come and see us, visitors always welcome.

Happy Easter everyone from all the members of Albric
