In May we welcomed Head Gardener of Wollerton Old Hall, Claire Tatler to Albrighton. She is skilled in all areas of horticulture including herbaceous borders, productive gardens, wildflower meadow creation, lawn and hedge management. She gave us an inspirational insight into creating and maintaining large gardens/estates, both for the National Trust and privately owned establishments. For someone who chose this as her second career she was passionate and full of new ideas. Members went away feeling they had all learnt something about where to put certain plants to achieve the best results.
Our speaker for June is Tullis Matson who has practised Artificial Insemination in stallions and freezing semen for over 30 years, he is now trying to take this a step further in his passion for saving animals who are likely to become extinct.
