Our October meeting we were inspired and entertained by Graham Short, who is a micro artist based in The Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham since 1974. Graham has spent nearly half a century perfecting his craft, and has a client list including The Royal Family, and still produces the announcements that are posted on the gates of Buckingham Palace. Graham’s desire to produce an engraving so small as to be illegible to the naked eye led to the making of his masterpiece ‘The Lord’s Prayer’ engraved on the head of a gold pin. Many of our members enjoyed lunch in The Granary Restaurant at Weston Park and our re-established walking group met for the first time.
