Our May meeting was again stepping back into history, with an informative presentation from Paul Wilkins about ‘Forgotten Women’ – the back story of women who worked in the munitions factories in both world wars and the sacrifices they made for their country. Again showing how strong women can be!

In June something completely different, when we will be welcoming Rebecca Roberts who is a Tropic Skincare Ambassador and an Environmental Health Officer. She will explain how Tropic grew from a homemade skincare to an award-winning British brand, focused on natural, freshly made skincare. The presentation explores ‘Infinite Purpose’ ethos, including sustainability, cruelty-free and vegan formulations, fair trade sourcing and charitable giving.

The walking and craft groups will also be meeting for their monthly gatherings, and we continue our collection for The Haven Refuge in Wolverhampton. I am pleased to say that the Willow Making Workshop is now fully booked, with a waiting list.
