On Tuesday 10th June our speaker was Jacqui White who was one of the first female Air Traffic Controllers, both in the Military and Civilian Airlines. Jacqui was an inspirational speaker and gave us all an insight into what happens in the skies above us, around the major airports and the smaller ones. Her knowledge of the industry was first class and in her later life she decided to take her pilots licence as ‘the icing on the cake’.
Our walking and craft group both had gatherings during the month and continue to be successful. We also have an outing to Biddulph Gardens and are looking forward to The Albrighton Fayre where we will be selling homemade cakes, pies, cookies and preserves.
