Our April meeting was a busy one, with members paying their annual subscription and enjoying an interesting story about DNA and where it can take you with your family history. Karen Evans told us the fascinating story of tracing her ancestors and discovering that she was related to a man who had been convicted of murdering a child. The information she had discovered was interesting and very well presented.
Some of our members had enjoyed a lovely day at ‘The Birds of Prey Sanctuary’ in Shrewsbury when the weather was very kind to us and we enjoyed birds up close and personal. Pictures below:

Both the walking group and craft group continue to thrive, and the craft group are doing well making bags for donations to The Haven Refuge in Wolverhampton which will be filled with essentials.
We have a busy few months with many activities taking place, one of which is a Willow Making Workshop on Saturday 26th September in The Church Centre – cost £35.00 which includes all materials and refreshments. This is open to non-members so if you are interested please get in contact with us via the contact page.
